strawberry, lime + cream soda, zingy minerality
Blush comes from our Block 18 Sangiovese. We hand picked these grapes early for this beautiful Rose' and leave the balance to ripen for our red Sangiovese.
Hand picked fruit was brought in early morning and gently destemmed, allowed to rest on its skins for only a brief time it was then pressed gently and the juice was allowed to cold settle. Ferment was purposfully done slow and cold with a specially selected Rhone yeast. These details all allowed this fruit forward wine to express beautiful strawberry aromas.
From its's vibrant coral coloration to its concentrated nose, this vivacious rose of Sangiovese is brimming with watermelon candy, gooseberry, and green strawberry aromas. The sweet fruit continues in the mouth with the undercurrent of savory herbs and the texture of green mango to create a clean, dynamic finish. My friends tell me that "everything goes with rosé," but while that is very true, I want to get real specific with this wine. I believe that strawberry pepper jelly and goat cheese may get you closer to a perfect paring with this deliciously dry blush wine than you have experienced in a long while.
